Job Location BELLEVILLE PLANT-P&G CANADA Job Description Our Belleville manufacturing site is seeking highly motivated, reliable, and flexible individuals with a commitment to safety and total quality to be part of our diverse operating teams. Production Associates are hired for a one-year contract with the opportunity to extend, guaranteed 84 hours every 2 weeks. Production Associates are responsible for keeping production flowing in their area, for meeting performance goals, following safe practices, and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. Key Responsibilities include: Prep and hang raw material Pick and move pallets using a hand-pump cart Load and unload materials from unwinds Utilize inventory control software to order and consume materials Move materials by hand as needed to support operations. Occasionally hand-stack cases of finished products as required. Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area. Drive a fork truck if required (training provided by the company) Production Associates are paid a competitive wage starting at 17.75 per hour plus a $3.20 shift premium for the 24/7 rapid rotation. This position includes a Retirement Pension Plan after 1 year of employment and is eligible for a Health Spending account. Job Qualifications Candidates must be 18 years and older to apply Must hold a valid G2 or higher Ontario Driver’s License Ensure you are including your detailed education and work experience in your resume. Willingness to work rotating shifts which are: 7 days/12 hours, days and nights; rapid rotation; receiving 84 hours every 2 weeks. Previous experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory control software. Ability to lift heavy objects (40 lbs.) and perform physical tasks. Comfortable remaining seated for up to four consecutive hours. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads. Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions. Willingness to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, hearing protection, eye protection which are provided by the company. Willingness to drive a forklift if required (training provided by the company) Ability to work individually or in a team.
